Stylenista Boutique
THE "T''
So I have this obsession, that could be a great obsession to have, its shopping! But IT HAS A PURPOSE! I love shopping and buying items particularly from BLACK OWNED BUSINESSES! Yesterday I decided I needed some new pieces for an up coming trip, so I went to STYLENISTA BOUTIQUE in Los Angeles for their Sip and Shop! I walked in and was immediately impressed. The store itself was so cute and organized. It was so easy find and see the clothes on the rack ( which is so important, because who likes rummaging through a bunch of clothes?) Anyway I was greeted by a young lady by the name of Lyrica who was setting things up and doing some other work for the store but still did a great job with assisting my needs! She was such a pleasure and did a great job customer servicing me. She made being at the store and breaking the bank that much more enjoyable LOL. At the Sip and Shop you had an opportunity to pick from a jar how much you would get off on your total! I so hoped for 50% haha but got 15% but its all good! That turned out to be great because I got some great quality pieces for very little! Want to know why? BECAUSE they also have a 10 DOLLAR RACK ! My goodness I almost fainted hahah. Not only was my experience great with the cupcakes (by a black owned vendor) WINE, and being in the positive filled energy in the room, but I really enjoyed giving back to African american women doing their thing. Did I mention that 10% of in store sales benefited the SISTER NETWORK helping African American women that have Breast Cancer? My GOD what a blessing. How could I not participate? I think its so essential that we support each other and help one another grow for the odds are always against us! BIG THANK YOU TO THE LADIES AT STYLENISTA BOUTIQUE!
I will be posting items I got soon ! ( I'm in the middle & These are the young ladies that assisted me)

DANA CHANEL
THE "T" "WCW"
For the first "Woman Crush Wednesday" I've decided to honor Ms.Dana Chanel. Why you may ask? Because she allows GOD to use her in the way he designed her. She walks fearlessly with the word of GOD and isn't afraid to relay any message placed on her heart by the power of GOD. I look forward to seeing her videos as soon as she post them and reading her posts because from every posts I know there's is a something GOD wants me to take and use in my personal life. Her words have got me through plenty of uncanny situations. Its so dope to me to be able to get on instagram and see someone my age being so fearless in her purpose and I only aspire to be such a light in other peoples lives. Any chance I get I'm tagging friends in posts and creating conversations surrounded around what she post LOL. She has to be my absolute favorite person to follow on the gram and I hope to one day meet with and have a conversation with her. ONE DAY!

Beauty and the Business Conference
THE "T"
Yesterday (10/18) I got a chance to attend the Beauty and The Business event held by Melissa Hibbert ! The event was panel and audience style with many successful stylist, make up artists, hair stylists, bloggers, and more. Not only was it such a pleasure to see how successful the AFRICAN AMERICAN panel of guests were but how unafraid and unselfish they were to give the glory and honor to GOD himself. They so greatly expressed the big role GOD played in their lives. The Panelists expressed that GOD took them from their darkest of times, many of them starting out in LA with little to nothing in their pockets, not knowing what their next step would be, but they trusted the prince of peace will deliver them to a better position. Something that stuck out in my mind was words from Monique L. Peters, she said that you must be in your season of YES so GOD can bless you. That meant so much because we as humans can block our own blessings and not even realize it. We are so easy to say NO due to fear of judgment or failure but we need to realize we can't walk in fear of anything nor be afraid of failure. As long as we walk with GOD fear should be diminished and understand that failure is a part of the process to being great. Without failing, how are we suppose to prevail? How will we ever know the true feeling of what its like to truly soar? Yesterday's event taught me without GOD'S glory the only option I'd have is to succeed. I so thank Vic Sanders for giving me the chance to attend ( I won tickets ) this is beautiful event. I also want to say thank you Melissa for allowing GOD to use her in having this event. Its safe to say that every person that attended left the Renaissance Hotel (the venue) feeling renewed and geared up to conquer their week with GOD on their. With the Q &A with the audience there were also many black vendors selling their products along with Workshops on financing, Pr Branding, and business. What a blessing this event was. My friend and I so greatly enjoyed ourselves!

Ann Coutler vs. Raven Symone
"Third World Hell Hole She Says"?
Okay so after stumbling upon a clip of Ann Coutler coming back at Raven Symone about her comment on "ghetto names" I began to do some serious digging on WHY she was so defensive in the first place. After finding the full clip of Coutler's interview with 'The View' I got a clearer picture of why she had her feelings. Ann Coutler is a prime example of what's wrong in this country. She got on national television disrespecting a whole community of people calling them maids, and telling a host how to pronounce ADIOS the American way, in my eyes she made a complete fools of herself. She went on to say that she is a "settler" not an immigrant making herself Native American! When will people like her understand that as a human race we need eachother to thrive and putting down immigrants from any part of the world or "making America American again" will not help us progress at all. I also can't help but become angered when seeing African Americas jump on her band wagon as far as insulting and calling out Raven Symone. Yes Raven has had some interesting choice words toward the black community but the sister did ask a great question to Ann which was then avoided with an insult. I encourage all of my people to watch the full clip to fully understand who they are supporting before post Ann's foolery on their timeline's.

T'Keyah Bennett Youtube Naturalista
BEAU"T"Y with T'Keyah
Like any other young girl growing up in today's time you know that any beauty question or tip you may have or need, YOUTUBE is the best place to get that instant answer! I personally am obsessed with watching hair and make up tutorials. I could sit on YouTube all day with a cup of tea and be completely satisfied with my day! haha. But if this is also you I got a chance to ask an coming beauty Youtuber T'Keyah Bennett some questions on the background of her YouTube page, SO ADD HER TO YOUR LIST OF YOUTUBERS. I've been following her for quite sometime and she not only give great tips on Natural hair care #Lazynatural & Fashion but she has also given great advice on how you too can start your own YouTube page and get success. I loved that she displayed that and with her recent success on her YouTube page getting 1 Million VIEWS, I had to go ahead and ask her some questions! I feel its so important to support those in your community who are helping everyone progress and give them the recognition they deserve. She is all about empowering women of color and I absolutely love it! Check out what she had to say! Below is her "Go-To Braid out video!
1. How old are you?
-I am 22 years old2.What inspired you to create your YouTube channel?
-I got my last relaxer in 2011 for my high school graduation. My hair was so thin and damaged from the chemicals and I had almost no waves/curls left in my head. I could remember having beautiful curly hair as a kid and I desperately wanted that back.No one in my family knew how to properly care for natural hair, so being the self sufficient individual that I am I googled it lol. Videos on top of videos popped up along with some natural hair blogs so that's where my love of YouTube started. After I nursed my hair back to health it got so much thicker and I decided I wanted to share my #lazynatural tips with anyone who wanted to go natural. For me it is so important to love what I was born with. I wanted to set an example for younger girls who had never seen their natural hair because their parents thought it would be less of a hassle to relax it.3.Who are your fashion and hair inspirations?
-Kanye West hands down! I also love Ugo Mozie. For hair I love Whitney White, her YouTube channel Naptural85 helped me so much when I was going natural.4.What are some of the goals you have for your blog?
-My next short term goal is to get to 50K subscribers on my YouTube channel, but my ultimate goal is to use my platform to enlighten, inspire and motivate young women (especially young women of color) to LOVE themselves unconditionally. We live in this superficial world where we're taught that in order to be happy and successful as a woman you have to be sexy and almost look perfect with flawless skin (tons of makeup) and flawless hair (weaves). Social media is killing our self esteems and it's going to have a greater effect on the upcoming generations.I have nothing against makeup or weave unless women are using it to hide themselves. If you aren't happy with yourself when all of that comes off at the end of the night then there's a huge problem.

How long have you been playing Guitar?
-I’ve been playing guitar since the age of 4.
When did you learn that this was something you had to make a career of?
-I actually didn’t realize that until around 16. Guitar was a gift that God gave me at an early age, but I had no idea it would be something that turned into a career for me.
Did you have a strong support system that pushed you to be great in your passion?
Yes, absolutely. My mother, my grandmother, my uncle and aunt were my BIGGEST supporters, and made a lot of sacrifices just for me to be able to pursue music. Also my dad, grandparents, cousins, more uncles and aunts helped me along the way. It does indeed take a village to raise a child.
What was your big break as a guitarist (play professionally)?
Shortly after I graduated high school, I was called to do a show with Nelly. He was the first big secular artist I had a chance to play for.
After booking your first professional job what were some of the thoughts going through your mind? Describe that moment.
I couldn’t believe it. I remember calling my mom immediately, sharing the news with her. I couldn’t stop thanking God for the call and the opportunity given.
With also playing behind such greats like Robin Thicke, T.I, Mali Music, and the beautiful Faith Evans, how does this make you feel? Do you in any way feel some sense of accomplishment?
I’m proud but also humbled, because anyone can play for these artists. But God allowed me to meet the right people and establish the right relationships for these gigs. I’ve always been the young guy, and often times, a lot of music directors for these gigs, go with someone with experience, or someone that’s just older. But because I tried to carry myself with maturity and play the same, I was blessed enough to get these calls.
Did you imagine your career to turn out the way it has?
Being 22, I am extremely thankful for every opportunity given to me to play with the artists I have. I had no idea it would ever turn into what it is, and I can only imagine the next level God has planned for me. In no way do I take these things for granted.
From your social Media you are not afraid to give God the glory for your blessings, how important do you think it is for young people to walk with God and keep him involved in their passion and purpose, especially while pursuing a career in the Entertainment industry?
The entertainment industry is a beast. It is filled with lots of different spirits and energies. It is imperative that children of God constantly remain prayed up, covered, and strong in this industry, because it will completely change you if you’re not rooted and confident. There is a bible verse that Romans 12:2 which speaks on not conforming to the world around you but being transformed by the renewing of your mind. Don’t forget where your faith is and whom it’s in, because it will take you further than any man can.

So currently you are on tour with on the rise star ZZ Ward and have toured multiple times. What is that experience like?
Touring is bittersweet. I get paid to travel the world, see beautiful places, stay in the nicest hotels, and play in front of thousands of people. But sometimes I get a little homesick when I’m gone too long. Some can be on the road for 4 months straight and not miss home, but I’ll get out there and after a month I’m ready to come home! But it is an amazing experience in almost every aspect
Whats your favorite city you've visited thus far?
In the U.S. I’m going with Miami. The U.K. London, and Europe, Paris.
With all the experience you have and opportunities you've been blessed with what advice do you have for any musician that is pursuing a career in the entertainment game?
I would say, stay humble, and let your gift speak for you. Never feel you have to fit in, when you're a genuine person you will always shine brighter than the guy that isn't real.
Name for us some the goals you plan to accomplish before the 2015 concludes.
One of them is to get another placement on a major artist's album. Launch my website, with music, tour dates, and just things I have going.Chrispaytonmusic.com look out for it! And to partner with a few sponsors and hold a musicians clinic for young musicians aspiring to work in the industry and give them knowledge of how it works.
